Coffee is and has been a favorite of many, who may have it routinely during breakfast as a wake-up call, during lunch as an energizer, or during dinner as a means to stay awake. It is a quintessential drink enjoyed by people all over the world. I don’t know about you, but I surely can’t have enough of it. And with everyone quarantining themselves, trips to Starbucks are seriously limited. So here, we have compiled 6 different ways you can enjoy coffee and its earthy flavor with quick and easy recipes from all over the world.

1. Turkish Coffee
Ingredients
1 cup of cold water
1 tablespoon extremely fine coffee powder
1 cardamom pod, crushed
Sugar to your taste
Procedure
Heat the sugar and water in a small saucepan. Traditionally, an ibrik, a copper coffee pot, would be used. Make sure it comes to a boil.
Switch off the heat and add the cardamom and coffee powder.
Heat the mixture once again until it comes to a boil (when the coffee foams up)
Switch off the stove and serve in demitasse cups (special Turkish serving cups) or mugs.

2. Whipped Coffee also known as Dalgona Coffee
You have probably seen and heard about this way of making coffee which is making its rounds around the internet. It has been catapulted to the title of “Drink of the Year,” and people are simply amazed by the ease they have had while making it and how just a couple of ingredients can whip the coffee so well.
Ingredients
2 tablespoon of hot water (Pro-tip: It should not be boiling, otherwise the mixture won’t whip up)
2 tablespoon of coffee powder
2 tablespoons of sugar. (Pro-tip: You can adjust the size, but the three ingredients need to be of equal proportion)
Milk of your taste, size can be adjusted.
Ice (Optional)
Procedure
Start by adding the hot water, coffee powder, and sugar in a medium sized bowl.
Use a hand whisk or an electric whisk to whisk up the mixture until it becomes lighter in color and forms stiff peaks.
Top a glass of milk with the Dalgona whip and enjoy! (Pro-tip: The Dalgona should float on top of the milk.)

3. South Indian Filter Coffee
Ingredients
2 tablespoon of Coffee Powder
1 cup milk
1 cup water
Sugar to your taste
Procedure
Start by boiling the water in a pot until bubbles form.
Add the coffee powder to the pot.
As it rises, switch off the flame and let it sit for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, boil milk in another pot.
Add the coffee (now called decoction) to the milk once it is boiled. (Pro-tip: Make sure that any coffee chunks of powder in the decoction are NOT added to the milk. Use a strainer if needed.
Mix the solution well and remove from heat when frothy.
Use another cup to pour the coffee back and forth in huge arc-like motions to create froth. Serve hot and enjoy!

4. Cold Brew Iced Coffee
Ingredients
4 ounces of coffee powder
2 quarts of cold water
Sugar to your taste
2 tablespoons of half and half
Optional: ½ teaspoon vanilla extract.
Ice to your taste
Optional: 3 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk
Procedure
Pour the coffee powder into the cup of cold water.
Stir consistently till the coffee powder is nicely incorporated. (Pro-tip: Let it steep at room temperature for 12 hours for best quality.)
Place a mesh strainer over the container you would serve the iced coffee with. (Protip: A mason jar is traditional for Iced Coffee.)
Place a cheesecloth over the mesh strainer and pour the coffee water through. (Pro-tip: Make sure every last drop is transferred to the container. Any clumps of coffee powder will be retained on the mesh strainer using this method.)
Add half and half to the cold brew along with sugar. (Pro-tip: Don’t add too much sugar if you are adding sweetened condesed milk)
Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated. (Pro-tip: Add the vanilla extract and the condensed milk for a richer taste.)
Finally, add ice (usually till the glass is ¾ full with ice) to the coffee and serve cold. Enjoy!

5. Pumpkin Spiced Coffee
Ingredients
1 cup brewed coffee
1 cup almond or cashew milk
2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
½ teaspoon nutmeg
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon maple syrup
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Whipped cream to your taste
Procedure
To make the cold brew

To make the pumpkin puree
Pre-heat oven to 365 degrees Fahrenheit.
Cut off the top of the pumpkin and then slice pumpkin in half lengthwise.Scoop out all the seeds and any of the stringy pumpkin membranes (be sure to save those seeds) and then lay pumpkin skin side up on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 30 minutes or until tender.
Peel off the skin and blend the pumpkin into a food processor until it is a cream consistency.
To make the pumpkin spice coffee
Combine brewed coffee, milk, 2 tablespoons of the pumpkin puree, maple syrup, cinnamon and nutmeg, and vanilla extract in a saucepan. Stir occasionally. (Pro-tip: Make sure to place on low heat, as the mixture shouldn’t get too hot and boil over.
Serve over ice or as is, preferably in a mason jar.
Top with whipped cream or any topping of your choice. Enjoy!
